Wauconda, Illinois – For nearly 50 years, aluminum extrusion technology breakthroughs have been delivered through the International Aluminum Extrusion Technology Seminar series, the premier educational event for the aluminum extrusion industry. Now the Aluminum Extruders Council (AEC) has made available for sale The Proceedings from past International Aluminum Extrusion Technology Seminars (ET Seminars) on the website at www.AEC.org, including—for the first time—individual papers that are available to purchase. A link to the Seminar Proceedings for sale is also available on the website for the Eleventh International Aluminum Extrusion Technology Seminar – ET ’16 at www.ET16.org.

The International Aluminum Extrusion Technology Seminars are well known in the aluminum extrusion industry as the definitive source for extrusion technology research on a wide range of industry-related issues. As essential reference works, the ET Seminar Proceedings capture an historic compilation of innovations in aluminum extrusion technology. Technical advances, scientific research, process breakthroughs, and innovative applications are included in this technical reference collection.

“The published papers of these ET Seminars serve as an essential reference library for the aluminum extrusion industry and are consulted regularly by industry professionals all over the world,” said ET Seminar Committee Chairman Craig Werner, VP Extrusion Technology at Kaiser Aluminum.

For the first time, individual ET Seminar technical papers will be available outside of the full Proceedings. “Over the years we have received inquiries on the availability of individual papers for purchase,” said AEC President Rand Baldwin. “We are pleased to be able to provide these important technical reference documents for the aluminum extrusion industry. This will make it more convenient for anyone in the aluminum extrusion industry to obtain this unique and essential industry research at an affordable price.”

Individual papers from the most recent ET Seminar, ET ’12, are available now in PDF format with later Proceedings being made available very soon. The complete Proceedings from each of the past three ET Seminars, ET ’12, ET ’08 and ET ’04, are available in either a CD or on flash drive (for ET ’12 only), as well as in two-volume printed sets. The Proceedings from earlier ET Seminars may be available at a later date.

Visitors to the AEC website can find The ET Seminar Proceedings by following the link to the AEC Online Store under “Resources” at www.aec.org.

ET is the world's longest-running educational event devoted to all facets of the aluminum extrusion industry, including aluminum profile production, die design and technology, metallurgy, equipment, and product applications. ET attracts industry professionals from around the world, including more than 50 countries.
