The Aluminum Extruders Council (AEC) congratulates the U.S. Aluminum Extruders Coalition (USAEC) on the affirmative preliminary subsidy ruling released today.
The determination by Commerce establishes the preliminary duty rates in the subsidies portion of the investigations. After the publication of Commerce's preliminary determination in the Federal Register in approximately one week, Commerce will instruct U.S. Customs and Border Protection to begin suspending liquidation and collecting preliminary duties (in the form of cash deposits) on entries of aluminum extrusions from China, Indonesia, Mexico, and Turkey.
"The AEC is encouraged that the Commerce Department has taken this preliminary action on the subsidy portion of the investigation. Again, the AEC congratulates the USAEC in an important milestone in the investigatory process." Jeff Henderson, President of the Aluminum Extruders Council.
