ET Week continues to amaze me in two big ways. First, I’m always impressed by the global reach of ET that unites the aluminum extrusion community. The willingness of so many international researchers, educators, engineers, material and process experts, and innovators to share their knowledge, discoveries and breakthroughs, solutions, and career experiences is unsurpassed. As a result, groundbreaking advances create new opportunities for growth in our industry worldwide – and we ALL benefit. Second, I’m amazed by the ongoing commitment and efforts of so many volunteers and contributors to the success of the ET Seminars and Expo. Every few years, these efforts culminate in ET Week. We gather to network, share ideas and challenges, and engage to learn about cutting-edge technical breakthroughs from extruders, producers, and suppliers to make the aluminum extrusion industry ever better.
And, in-conjunction education is offered on April 29 and May 3 during ET week, with limited spots still open for great learning opportunities from the world’s top experts, so plan your schedule to include at least one of these full-day tutorials. Learn more about course offerings here.

ET '24 Technical Track Preview:
NEW! Extrusion Design & Innovation (EI) Track
Technical sessions are the heart of ET, and we welcome a new track to the ET ’24 lineup. In the Extrusion Design & Innovation (EI) Track, presentations include design and application topics such as, automotive products: alloy selection for the heat exchanger market, and customer collaboration and new alloy development; process innovations: extending boundaries for reinforced EN AW-6082 profiles by new lateral angular co-extrusion processes; extrusion press technology: 70 years of indirect extrusion press technology; variable wall thickness extrusions: development of a porthole die for hollow extrusion profiles with axial asymmetric variable wall thickness; and designing solutions: connecting the dots to approach optimization, not just efficiency.
These Design & Innovation sessions present new strategies for implementing new thinking into practical processes and product applications that expand the horizon for aluminum extruded products. Check out these EI sessions and consider your most innovative extrusion design applications to present at our next ET!
Prepare now for your Team to attend all key topics of interest and review the program schedule well in advance to plan your session attendance, including the Best Papers of ET ’24, presented at the Opening General Session on Tuesday, April 30, and at the Closing Session on Thursday, May 2.
