The ET '24 General Sessions include presentations and elements you will want to see to make the most of your ET Seminar experience. The Best Papers of ET '24 presentations are divided between the Opening and Closing General Sessions, so be sure to attend to hear the best of the best papers presented at ET '24!
Opening General Session
Tuesday, April 30 | 8:45 a.m. – 12:30 p.m.
Attend the Opening General Session to gain valuable insights and information. Three Best of Track papers and the Overall Best Paper of ET '24 will be delivered during the Opening General Session. Also featured will be the presentation of awards, including the Best Paper Awards, Maurice H. Roberts Award of Excellence, and more.
Opening Keynote: Excellence Beyond Extrusion
President of Bonnell Aluminum, headquartered in Newnan, Georgia, USA, will discuss how the company has been able to survive the ups and downs of the past 70 years of their existence with events like ET and organizations like the Aluminum Extruders Council. Brook will give a “peek behind the curtain” at the tools and resources they use to gather information and intelligence that everyone can access. Brook will also provide an overview of Bonnell's approach to operational excellence and continuous improvement, the company’s focus on safety and standardizing practices to help reduce workforce injuries, and more.
Awards & Announcements
ET '24 Best Paper Awards
The Best of Track and Best Overall paper award winners will be announced at the Opening General Session. Award-winning authors will be presented with awards to recognize their significant achievements.
Chairman's Award
The ET Chairman's award is given to an individual or company who has made a valuable and significant impact on the ET Seminar Program. This year's recipient is a truly deserving award winner.
Maurice H. Roberts Award of Excellence
The Maurice H. Roberts Award of Excellence is the highest honor the ET Seminar Committee can bestow and whose namesake was a founder of the ET Seminar and the recipient of the first award in 1984. This years award will be bestowed on a truly worthy recipient.
