Wire & Cable
Battery Cables

Copper is a formidable competitor in electrical conduction because of its combination of conductivity, strength and corrosion resistance. It packages well, meaning the small diameter allows it to be packaged throughout the vehicle. However, it is heavy and with increased market demand, its availability is drawing concerns.

This brings opportunity for aluminum wiring. Aluminum is more available in supply, and lower weight. Applications cover both IC engine vehicles and electric vehicles. A coming technology in all cars is brake-by-wire; brake systems required redundant systems, so they will incorporate a second battery, which of course requires more wiring. In EV's, certainly there are many wires, cables and bus bars within the entire vehicle.
