2025 Aluminum Extrusion Design Competition Winning Entries Displayed at ET

A total of 70 entries for the Extrusion Technology (ET) Foundation’s 2025 Student Aluminum Extrusion Design Competition were submitted by students from 13 countries around the world.  High school and college students submitted entries for the opportunity to receive a cash scholarship award.  

The entries were evaluated by competition judges Mark Butterfield, President of Manufacturing for MX Holdings/Pennex Aluminum Company LLC, Craig Werner, CEO of Werner Extrusion Solutions LLC, and Shane Tredup, President of Custom Aluminum Products.  

The ET Foundation thanks Almag Aluminum, Inc., MI Metals, Inc., and Pennex Aluminum Company LLC for sponsoring the Student Design Competition again this year!

The winning 2025 Student entries will be displayed at the Extrusion Showcase during ET ’27, April 26-30, 2027, in Orlando, Florida.  Five students received awards, including the First, Second and Third Place Awards, the Sustainable Design Challenge Award, and an Honorable Mention Award.
