Suspension -- Shocks
Precision aluminum tubing, made by extrusion, is no becoming commonplace on the premium electric vehicles. These suspension systems accommodate the heavy weight of EV's and provide superior suspension travel and ride quality. Noise and vibration (NVH) are critical to driver fatigue, and a good shock system absorbs much of the road impacts to minimize vibration felt by the driver.

Suspension - Vibration Mounts
One of the keys to superior ride quality is the ability to absorb the the shock and vibration from rough roads. A simple yet effective means to absorb these loads is the molded rubber within a metal mount. Extruded aluminum is a great choice for vibration mounts due to the balance between structural soundness, ease of manufacturing, corrosion resistance, and versatility. In the two examples shown, extruded mounts are use on both welded steel and forged aluminum lower control arms.
Suspension - Chassis & Steering
Aluminum extrusions are found everywhere, even in the mounts supporting subframes, electric motors, and steering columns. Aluminum performs well due to its low density and natural corrosion resistance, and the NVH reduction is a critical parameter to vehicle customer satisfaction.
