The tankers, referred as bulk haulers, are especially interesting for aluminum extrusions because they represent the most weight-sensitive market in trucking. This is the market segment that will pay the highest premium, the most dollars per kilogram ($/kg) of weight saved. Aluminum extrusions are well-established on the flatbed trailer market as well for the simple reason, to maximize payload. Some trailers are all-aluminum, others vary the use of steel and aluminum in areas best-suited for the payload that they target.
